It's all in the game for Deirdre
TORY hopeful Deirdre Alden publishes a website aimed at telling voters what she's up to in Edgbaston, where she will be a candidate in the next general election.
But Coun Alden, already a member of the city council, discovered she has a wide readership.
She says: "Following a post about a board games exhibition which will be coming to Edgbaston in the summer, I received an email from a gentleman in the Caribbean!
"His question was about how best to market a game which he'd invented - a bit outside the sphere of influence of a parliamentary candidate, but I was able to direct him to the organisers of the games exhibition who should know!"
