MP raps Diana programme

WHAT is the point of Channel 4?

The so-called public service broadcaster has been ordered to apologise for presenting racist bullying as entertainment on Big Brother.

And it is now threatening to broadcast footage of Princess Diana as she was dying, following the car crash in Paris.

The decision has been condemned by politicians. MP Andrew Mitchell (Con Sutton Coldfield) said: "We would expect more from a public service broadcaster than showing sensationalist material in this way."

But the station is receiving a subsidy from the licence fee, to help it meet the costs of providing digital services, which could reach £70 million.

Can anyone explain why it deserves a single penny?
