Hullabaloo over number 10 toilets
CONSERVATIVES are up in arms over reports that the gents in 10 Downing Street are being refurbished.
They have dug up figures which apparently show councils are closing public loos across the country.
In the West Midlands, the number of public conveniences fell by six per cent, from 479 to 453, over five years.
Shadow Cabinet member Eric Pickles thunders: "It is the height of hypocrisy for the Labour government to give the green light to the end of free public toilets, whilst Gordon Brown spends public money on new loos for himself in Downing Street."
