A burden for Blair

Jon Walker

THERE may be a feeling of déjà vu for Richard Burden MP when he quizzes Tony Blair next week.

Mr Burden (Lab, Northfield) is a member of the International Development Select Committee, which is questioning the former Prime Minister about his role as the international community's peace envoy in the Middle East.

It will be the first time Mr Blair has spoken formally in Parliament since he left No.10 last June.

It is believed he will stick strictly to talking about his work trying to solve the conflict in Palestine.

This is a unlikely to help him with Mr Burden, who was always one of the staunchest critics of Mr Blair.
