Archbishop's protest spot on

THE Archbishop of York, John Sentamu, once our Bishop of Birmingham, gave nervy and lily-livered Anglicans a kick up the slats as he tore off his dog collar, announcing it would remain off until the murderous Robert Mugabe is ejected from office in Zimbabwe.

He hit a sensitive nail on the head.

Africa hasn't, generally speaking, flourished since the end of colonialism.

Black Africans are living in worse conditions under their home-grown leaders than they did under European administrations.

But that's thought to be too racist to utter. Thank God for his stalwart servant in York.
