Clyde's a sight for sore eyes

Maureen Messent

THE happier story this week has been that of Clyde, the young Welsh cob, whose sight has been saved by a Birmingham Mail reader after she learned Clyde's owner couldn't afford a £2,500 eye operation.

I wish the lovely chestnut gentleman and his owner, Kelly Ann Delaney, from King's Norton, many joyous years together.

Sometimes I think we overlook giving to animals in our donations. Africa and child charities call, yes, but so do wonderful creatures like Clyde.
