Customs are our spirit
Dec 5 2008 By Maureen Messent
EVERY day we hear of that politically correct daftness that would see us change our customs lest we “offend Muslims”.
True Muslims themselves abhor this pussy-footing. They’re aghast that the white, indigenous Britons allow this madness.
So don’t be surprised if, when you pass through Balsall Heath on December 18, you see a choir comprising Muslims and Christians who are gathering to sing carols. They are good friends who have banded together for a street recital and visits to a couple of old people’s homes. That’s real community spirit.
