IS THERE a curse on the leaden-footed One Show on BBC1?

Carol Thatcher, that ageing spinster who tries too hard to be jolly, was barred from its sofa for describing a sportsman as a “gollywog” off air.

Now the lugubrious-looking Hardeep Singh Kohli has been suspended for six months for “overstepping the mark” with a female researcher.

I worry for lovely John Sergeant amid this bunch...
