Getting needled over jab
TB vaccinations are no longer routinely given to schoolchildren, even though the illness is reaching epidemic proportions.
The jab is only given to members of "at risk" ethnic groups - although as it's an airborne infection, anyone can catch it.
One Birmingham mum I know was so concerned that she ticked a box in a form from her child's school saying that the youngster has a Bangladeshi grandmother.
It's not true, but in these politically correct times no-one dared question it and the kid got immunised - unlike most of her classmates.
One happy mum, one safe child, one stupid system.
