Just give us facts
ONLY time will tell if last week's anti-terrorist raids in Birmingham lead to any convictions, but we can say one thing for certain.
The sources of the "Whitehall leaks" who gave off the record briefings about the case to journalists risked prejudicing any future trials and caused mistrust within our community.
Of course, we are all curious to know exactly what's going on when armed police swoop on our suburbs.
But the forces of law and order should stick to the facts, instead of creating a feeding frenzy of wild rumour and speculation.
