Party posters ban benefits no-one

The Stirrer

ANYONE noticed that the local elections are just over a week away? Thought not.

In years gone by, lamp posts were decorated with the Labour red, Tory blue and Lib Dem yellow or orange (they never could make up their minds).

Now the council has banned these colourful displays claiming they add to the litter problem.

Come on, guys. It was only for a few weeks and at least it told everyone there was something important going on.

If there's no sense of occasion and people don't even know who's standing, why bother turning out to vote?

Bring back the election bunting, I say. Until they do, expect another landslide for the Apathy Party.
