Boss will land transfer targets - Berger

Patrik Berger plays the ball against Walsall

CZECH midfielder Patrik Berger is confident Martin O'Neill will land his targets.

Berger added after last night's draw at Walsall: "It is better to buy two quality players than four average players.

"The manager has brought in two very good players and still has a couple of weeks to go before the deadline. He's a very smart man and I am sure he will bring in a few players before then.

"We drew against Liverpool at home last season in a game that could have gone either way. It is a tough start as we then go away to Newcastle but everyone is looking forward, we are playing with confidence and we don't need to fear anyone - even Liverpool.

"We will be ready for them."
