Set-piece boosts call-up hopes for Villa pair

ASHLEY Young is taking nothing for granted despite raising his England hopes with another stunning free-kick in front of watching boss Fabio Cappello.

Cappello names his squad to face Switzerland on Friday and Young hopes to be included.

"I've just got to concentrate on how well I can do for Villa. The national side of things will take care of itself," he said.

"Obviously it would be nice to be in the squad, but I just want to do well for Villa and get Villa up the table. Hopefully I am doing well enough to get that call."

Young believes Scott Carson deserves to keep his England place following his nightmare against Croatia at Wembley.

"He has totally forgotten about it. Something like that can affect you but it is how you bounce back and he has been on top form."
