Gabriel Agbonlahor goal drought doesn't worry Martin O'Neill

Gabriel Agbonlahor

MARTIN O'Neill has insisted he isn't too concerned by Gabriel Agbonlahor's Aston Villa goal drought.

O'Neill says the striker's lack of goals and his form defies the norm.

"I notice Gabby Agbonlahor hasn't scored since the turn of the year and at this moment it doesn't bother me one jot," said O'Neill.

"What Gabby has done for us has been fantastic. You couldn't say that because he's not scored that he's suffered any loss of confidence because his performance at the Emirates was absolutely fantastic.

"I'm the first to accept at some stage, some strikers live by goals, but when you get contributions like that, there are exceptions to the rule - and his contribution was fantastic."
