Martin O'Neill is beaming

VILLA manager Martin O'Neill is still beaming after witnessing back-to-back wins, 10 goals and two clean sheets after an incredible seven days.

"We have scored 10 in two games,'' he said. "Our second goal last week (against Bolton) was as good as any throughout the Premiership, so we are capable. We are capable of playing like that when confidence is up, and confidence is high at the moment.

"I was really pleased to have won the game. I was concerned about the match beforehand because Derby could play with a bit more freedom, and it showed early on with the crowd behind them.

"But it is a long game and once we got into our rhythm I knew we would be okay.''

He added: "The first goal was very important on Saturday. I thought we played second fiddle until then.''
