So many players stood out - Martin O Neill
VILLA boss Martin O'Neill found it almost impossible to pick out individual players for praise following the win over Blues.
"Alex McLeish said John Carew was unplayable and I wouldn't disagree,'' he said.
"We have seen performances like that before from him. He was sensational.
"Ashley Young was fantastic, and I thought Martin Laursen was outstanding, but you could go through the side - Gareth Barry was great, then there was Stiliyan Petrov and Nigel Reo-Coker."
O'Neill added the result came with a sprinkling of 'relief'.
"I was very concerned about the game beforehand. I was very nervous, but I am nervous about most matches," he said.
"I got kinda nervy when it got to 4-1."
