Villa must keep feet on the ground says Luke Young

LUKE Young says Villa must keep their feet firmly on the ground and not allow their elevation to fourth place in the Premier League to go to their heads.

A win over Fulham on Saturday and Martin O’Neill’s men will rise to third in the table as Manchester United play in the Manchester derby the following day and Arsenal also travel to Chelsea on Sunday.

“We’ll take it as it comes and let other people talk about fourth,’’ said Young.

“We are going for it. The manager has made it clear to us he is desperate to get into the top four and he tells us every game is big no matter who it is against.

“We’ve beaten Arsenal and we’ve got a great result against United so perhaps we feel like we can go on and do it now.

“When we went to Chelsea we didn’t give a good account of ourselves but the Arsenal game gave us a bit of confidence and after this we can take a little bit more again.

“Hopefully they see the way we are playing and there is a bit of a fear factor there at the moment, especially with the way we break and the pace we’ve got.

“Gabby Agbonlahor, Ashley Young and James Milner – and with John Carew coming off the bench – we have a lot of attacking assets.

“To do it (finish fourth) would be incredible but there is a long way to go.

“We are just working really hard every week and every game we go into we are trying to win.”
