Aston Villa manager wants big-game approach against Fulham

MARTIN O’Neill will urge his Villa troops to treat the Fulham game as if they were taking on Arsenal or Manchester United.

Villa have fallen flat against Newcastle and Middlesbrough in recent weeks and will need to be on top of their game against Roy Hodgson’s resurgent Cottagers.

Fulham have just held Liverpool at Anfield and have also beaten Wigan, Newcastle and Tottenham in three of the previous four matches.

But the potential prize awaiting Villa is third in the Premier League, for 24 hours at least.
