O’Neill knows it will not be a matter of simply turning up.

“We have had Zilina watched four times since the draw was made, and the reports coming out are that they are a better side than the results in the group have suggested,’’ he said.

“Their best performance so far was definitely in drawing with Prague. But they have performed not-so-badly.

“The players, in terms of the DVDs, will be well aware of them by the time that we play them. They like to keep the ball just like any continental side.

“I still think there are quite a number of sides in this competition who could easily take their place in the Champions League.”
