We should aim for the top says Aston Villa's James Milner

JAMES Milner believes there is no limits to the heights Villa can reach this season amid talk that Martin O’Neill’s men should start aiming for the league title and not settle for being Champions League contenders.
Former England coach Terry Venables wrote an article suggesting Villa should aim higher than top four last week which led to O’Neill and some of his players being questioned about their Premier League credentials.
Milner clearly believes that the momentum is with them after three successive wins.
“I was asked a question: ‘Can you win the title now?’ People get carried away,’’ said Milner.
“They can say what they like. We will ignore it. We will just get on with the football, keep going and aim as high as we can.
“When I moved here I saw how well Villa did last season and how well they had started this year.
“I knew I was coming to a good club. The manager has a great record. The club has a great set-up.
“There is a lot of good, young English players and good experienced players. Now it is up to us to put in performances to see how high we can go. There are no limits to how high.”
Villa are in the top three at Christmas for only the third time in Premier League history and for the first time in a decade.
