Aston Villa: John Carew backs Aston Villa to complete Moscow job

GOALSCORER John Carew has backed Villa to complete the job when they travel to CSKA Moscow for the UEFA Cup last-32 second leg a week today.

Carew’s 69th-minute equaliser cancelled out Wagner Love’s 14th-minute opener last night and ensures it is all square at the half-way stage of the tie.

“We have a great chance of winning the game,’’ he said.

“We are playing away but we have a more than good enough team to go and beat them.

“We are going to a place that is a bit colder and that’s it. We just have to be confident and take the positives from last night and our recent form.

“We can create so many chances and I’m sure we can do the same in Russia, there’s no reason why not.’’
