Aston Villa are better than Chelsea says John Carew

“Then you just have to look at the table to see who has been the best team. It is not always about the stars, it is more about the team.

“It will be a very tough game but we are looking forward to it and we are confident we can win it.”

Carew admits in climbing to third Villa have made more progress in his two years at the club than he could have ever imagined.

“It’s just amazing what has happened and I am proud to be a part of Aston Villa,” he added.

“We are very strong, we are a very unified group. I am not just talking about the players, I am talking about the fans who are the best in the world. It’s like a big family.”
