Aston Villa: Heart-to-heart with players will solve problems

“I’ve always said this. It is up to us to break it down.

“Break it down we did and for us to draw having done 98 per cent of really good things today I couldn’t be more disappointed. It is concerning in the sense we have conceded two late goals. For the first time I thought there was a degree of over-confidence about us.

“We got the second goal, which we worked hard enough for, and we should be able to read the situations better and read what might develop in the last minute or two.

“Once or twice we were looking in the last minute or two to still play the sort of intricate football that got us 2-0 ahead. At 2-0, we should see it through.

“I thought the confidence was very high. We started brilliantly. We had two or three attacks early on and set the pattern.”
