Aston Villa striker Marlon Harewood looks set to sign for Wolves
WOLVES manager Mick McCarthy today confirmed his interest in taking Marlon Harewood from Villa to Molineux for the rest of the season on loan.
The Wolves boss confirmed talks were underway with Martin O’Neill about the future of the striker, who moved to Villa Park in a £4million deal two years ago.
McCarthy has been a long-time admirer of Harewood and believes he would be a useful addition to the Championship league leaders, who already boast four international front men.
McCarthy said: “I have had a discussion with Martin and I am waiting to have another.
“That is where we are at and I’m waiting to ask the question again when we talk once the weekend games are over.
“I want to do it but Martin and I need to speak again first.”
