Aston Villa goalie Brad Guzon: I'll be ready if needed
“Brad has done it over 80 times,” he said. “Tim Howard does it. You find a way to get your body and your mentality right.
“When you come back you make sure you are ready to go to help the team.
“You always have to be ready for when your name and number is called. When it is called you try and do your best and try to help the team be successful.
“Whether it is under these circumstances or other circumstances. You always have to be prepared to go.”
Guzan has sympathy for Friedel who was sent off for bringing down Fernando Torres.
“It’s always difficult in that situation for Brad Friedel, coming out and trying to close down the ball and the angle,” he said.
“As a goalkeeper those things happen and I am sure he will bounce back from it.”
