Injured Heskey in doubt for Aston Villa's clash with Man United

Aston Villa midfielder Gareth Barry admitted team-mate Emile Heskey is a major doubt for Sunday’s huge test of nerve at Old Trafford after the striker suffered a suspected hamstring tear during England’s 4-0 demolition of Slovakia at Wembley.
Barry was bitterly disappointed to see Heskey limp off just 15 minutes into Saturday’s friendly after opening his side’s account with a seventh-minute strike.
Heskey immediately left the stadium to undergo a scan and has now returned to his club for treatment with no chance of playing in Villa’s televised clash with Premier League leaders Manchester United this weekend.
Martin O’Neill’s men are looking for maximum points in a bid to resume their place in the top four as they pursue Champions League football for next season.
But Barry, who will play for England against Ukraine in a World Cup Qualifier at Wembley tomorrow night, says Heskey will be missing for both club and country.
He said: “Emile has gone back to Villa and it is very disappointing for him.
