“But they kept their heads up and we got back into it.”
Agbonlahor has no qualms about playing in front of the Villa Park crowd after his low key return against Everton following the negativity he received against Tottenham.
“I don’t really listen to the reception,” he said.
“I just concentrate on the game really. I block everything else out.
“The Tottenham reaction never played on my mind and even when it happened I wasn’t too fussed about it. “The fans have got their opinion and I just go out there and play my game and don’t listen to the fans.”
Agbonlahor is also enjoying his renewed partnership with John Carew with the strikers both on 13 goals for the season following the Norwegian’s strike against Everton.
“He is on fire,” added Agbonlahor. “When he is fit, you expect that off him.
“Look at his career. No-one can handle him when he is on song.
“If you look at the size of him and he has got a bit of pace as well. He is good in the air.”
