JOHN Carew has fired an ominous warning to Premier League defences by predicting that Ashley Young and Gabby Agbonlahor will get even better.
Young and Agbonlahor were recently named the country’s most promising players, coming first and second in the PFA Young Player of the Year awards.
And Carew believes the claret and blue pace-aces will keep on improving with the more top-flight football they play.
“They can get better and better,” said the Norwegian striker, who also hailed the impact of winger James Milner.
“They are doing great and they are quite young still. They will keep on learning and get better and better each season.
“Ashley deserved his award, he has had a fantastic season last year and this one he has been even better.
“He’s just been fantastic for the club and so has Gabby. They are getting better and better and have great futures.
“He has every quality to become a big player, he just needs to continue working and he will get there.
