John Carew commits his future to Aston Villa

JOHN Carew has served notice that he intends to stay at Villa next season.
The giant Norwegian’s future appeared to be in some doubt after he was caught breaking a curfew before the UEFA Cup match with Ajax in October.

The 13-goal joint-top scorer has missed three months of the season through injury but has enjoyed something of a renaissance in recent weeks with Martin O’Neill glowing in his praise and seemingly eager to sign him up.
Carew was recently linked to Tottenham but sees his future at Villa.
“I am very happy here,” he said.
“I don’t want to leave this club, I love being here, the fans, the players. I don’t see any reason why I would leave.
