Ashley Young mystified by Aston Villa's slump in form

ASHLEY Young admits Villa’s slump in results over the past three months has been a mystery.
But he says the team have performed admirably considering the size of their squad compared to their rivals.
“I don’t think anyone can put their finger on why we haven’t been getting the results but it’s how you bounce back from it,” the PFA Young Player of the Season said. “The last few games we’ve been heading in the right direction.”
Villa have used 21 players in the Premier League this season.
That compares to Man City’s 32, Man United and West Ham’s 31; Sunderland and Tottenham’s 30; Chelsea’s 29; Arsenal’s 26; Everton’s 25 and Liverpool’s 23.
“We have a smaller squad than the teams that are above us but we’ve had a brilliant season,” said Young.
