"It's like a goalscorer. He still has to put himself in a position where he thinks he's going to score.
"As a centre-half you still have to get the ball off the keeper. You still have to have the confidence to get the ball from the goalkeeper.
"I have a little bit of sympathy for Curtis on the one hand. On the other, unfortunately you cant be a kid in this league.
"If you're a kid you just get sniffed out by the teams you are playing against whether it be Manchester United, West Brom or Portsmouth.
