Curtis Davies targets Aston Villa points prize

“I was not here on a one-man crusade trying to keep Albion up. We are trying to do everything we can to get as many points as possible.
“Obviously, I would have loved to have had them stay up. I have always said that.
“All I said was that we are trying to get as many points as we can to try and get fifth.”
Davies says Villa can head into Sunday’s Villa Park clash in good spirits after a good second-half show at The Riverside.
“The first half was very similar to the second half at Fulham,” he said.
“We got a kick up the backside at half-time and came out flying. We got an early goal and it’s just unfortunate we didn’t convert any of our other chances.”
