JOHN Carew says his goals are the sign of a player relishing his time at Villa Park.
The Norwegian has two years left on his contract and has no intention of cutting short his stay, despite Martin O’Neill being linked with Toulouse striker Andre Pierre Gignac.

“I am really happy here,” he said.
“I signed a new three-year contract just 10 months ago so I have no reason to think about anything else. It is fantastic here.
“I love the club, the fans, I love my team-mates – I am just happy. That is the situation.”
Carew says that an unhappy player at any club would not be able to perform.
“If I wasn’t happy you would see that on the pitch. If I was not happy I would not score goals,” he said.
“For every player it is difficult to perform if you’re unhappy.
