Aston Villa can win at Liverpool says Gabriel Agbonlahor

“It is still early in the season. We still have players to come back and the squad is still getting to know each other.

‘‘I am sure when we get a few more games under our belts you will see an improvement.

“For me the World Cup is an incentive. I think it is for all the young English players in the squad, but we have to concentrate on duties for Villa first and that is our priority.”

The Birmingham-born youngster admits Rafa Benitez’ side will be tricky opponents, particularly fresh from their 4-0 drubbing of Stoke.

“Liverpool are world class but one win could turn our season around,” Agbonlahor said.

“There have been some shocks already in the Premier League like Burnley’s win over Manchester United – we can go there and get something out of the game.”
