Aston Villa's international pull worked for Warnock

STEPHEN Warnock has admitted that adding to his one international cap was his main motivation for joining Martin O’Neill’s Little Englanders.
The former Blackburn left-back agreed a four-year deal yesterday and immediately targeted a place in Fabio Capello’s squad.
Warnock wants to follow in the footsteps of Ashley Young, Gabby Agbonlahor, James Milner, Emile Heskey and fellow newboy Stewart Downing.
“The squad is full of quality,” he said. “If you look at the players now, you’d find five or six players who are regulars in the England squad. You have your internationals from other countries too.
