Birmingham City: Confusion over Liam Ridgewell's Claret connection

ORGANISERS of Blues’ annual F&C Investments golf event at the Forest of Arden last week should have done their homework on the nicknames of football clubs.
On an information card profiling all Blues’ players in attendance, Liam Ridgewell (who was actually a no-show) was said to have made over 70 appearances for the Clarets.
The last time Stud Marks checked, it was Burnley who are known as the Clarets and not Ridgewell’s former club Villa, who for the record are nicknamed The Villans.
