GABBY Agbonlahor has revealed his pride at winning an England recall, even though his prolific scoring run came to an end against Manchester City last night.

Agbonlahor is back in Fabio Capello’s plans for the qualifiers against Ukraine and Belarus after being omitted from the last two squads.

“It means a lot,” said Agbonlahor. “Just to get in front of someone like Darren Bent who has scored seven goals. It means Fabio Capello is appreciating what I’m doing at the moment.

“I just have to try to keep it up and stay in the squad. I knew that if I got back to my best I was in with a chance of getting in there.
