CAPTAIN Stiliyan Petrov said last night’s performance against moneybags Manchester City was another sign that Villa can compete with the Premier League big boys.

“I think it was a very competitive game,” said Petrov.

“We played a team trying to achieve something big, but we are trying to achieve as well.

“We’ve shown in the last three seasons we can compete. We’ve had good results against Arsenal, Liverpool and Manchester United.
