Aston Villa on verge of signing young striker

Aston Villa's track record for developing youngsters has moved them to the front of the queue for highly-rated Farnborough youth team striker Jordan Carter.

The 15-year-old has attracted attention from a host of Premier League scouts but is expected to choose Villa after his trial at Bodymoor Heath.
