Aston Villa boss claims his side's achievements against Chelsea are being overlooked
Aston Villa boss Martin O'Neill believed the focus on the way Chelsea conceded their goals as Villa ran out 2-1 winners did his own side "a disservice".
But he still suspects the Blues will be the team to catch in the race for the title.
O'Neill said: "I am delighted. I thought we played brilliantly in the first half and had to defend in the second half when Chelsea came at us very strongly, but we saw it through.
"There was a 15-minute period when it was tough for us but overall I thought we were splendid.
"We felt we should have had a penalty (for a foul on Agbonlahor) and we fell behind afterwards but to bounce back was brilliant.
"I think it is early on to make big predictions at this time of the season. I think any team that finishes in front of Chelsea will win the championship."
As for Ancelotti's emphasis on the set-plays, O'Neill said: "I think that is kind of crazy if that is the case.
"Chelsea over the last five years have won numerous games on set-plays. World Cups have been decided on set-plays.
"It would be doing us a real disservice. That is part of the game. Since Martin Laursen left here, we have missed him (at set-plays) and we have been undone by set-pieces.
"Suddenly we have got some players here who are prepared to attack them. The delivery is excellent and I think Chelsea, who pride themselves on being able to defend set-pieces, would be doing us a disservice after the way we performed."
O'Neill praised goalkeeper Brad Friedel who made several fine saves after his mistake gifted Drogba the opening goal.
He said: "He didn't get an opportunity straight away to rectify it so that would be playing on his mind still and at half-time he would be angry with himself.
"Then he comes out and makes two or three magnificent saves. That was an immense second half from him."
