Aston Villa youngster Marc Albrighton keen to learn from England wing duo

Marc Albrighton

“They’re giving me advice and it can only help my career.

“I do see different qualities in them. I think James is more of a workhorse, but he does deliver at the other end and I think Ash is more of a flair player.

“But they both do the same job by creating goals for the strikers, who would tell you that they couldn’t ask for better service from the wide players.”

Albrighton watched with envy as Milner and Young added to their collection of international caps during Saturday’s friendly against Brazil in Qatar.

And the England under-20 starlet believes the dual threat the pair pose to Premier League full-backs is a deadly weapon in Villa’s armoury.

“It helps having great players down both flanks because if you’ve just got it going down one side then teams that you come up against are going to notice that and they’re going to cut that off,” he said.

“If they cut off your main supply then you’re not going to score goals. But we’ve got it down both sides

“In training Ash does some unbelievable things and I can only learn from him.

“It’s not so bad for me because I don’t have to mark him but for some of the defenders it’s an absolute nightmare.

“You’ve just got to stop and think ‘wow’. He’s a class act.”
