Spurs bossed the second half, says Beye

RETURNING right-back Habib Beye admits Villa must be pleased with a point after dropping too deep in the draw against Tottenham.
With Stephen Warnock ill and Luke Young moving to left-back, Beye was handed a rare start against Harry Redknapp’s men.
And the former Newcastle United defender says a share of the spoils was fair because Villa and their top-four rivals are evenly-matched.
“It’s a good point because Tottenham had the second half,” said Beye.
“We dropped much too deep in the second half of the game and Tottenham had the ball and you know the high quality of their players.
“Perhaps it’s a good point for both sides and at least we’re unbeaten at home for several games now. I think we are pretty close. They have some good players, internationals, and we have some good players, also internationals, and we drew.
“Of course, at home you want to win every game, even if it’s Tottenham.
“We have beaten Chelsea here, we have beaten Liverpool away and if you want to be in the top four you have to beat the big teams. Tottenham Hotspur is a really big team but you have to be realistic and say that a draw is a good result.
“One point is not enough if you want to be in the top four but against Burnley we were losing and got a good point.
“Sometimes you have to take the points and keep the confidence high.’’
