Aston Villa's Ashley Young looking forward to home comforts this weekend.

Tuesday night’s 2-1 victory at Wigan kept Villa’s Operation Top Four on course.

They are now just three points behind Tottenham in the final Champions League berth, with a game in hand over Harry Redknapp’s boys.

Should Villa go on to upset the odds by gate-crashing the top four, then the win at the DW Stadium will go down as a key moment.

Young added: “We were delighted to get the three points, it (the DW Stadium) is not an easy place to go to.

“We’ve always said that we’ve got to take these games in hand if we want to keep pushing for that fourth spot. That’s exactly what we’ve done and we’re looking forward to each game.

“We were saying afterwards how different it was to the game at Stoke. It was like a basketball game, really end-to-end, but something that all the players enjoyed.

“It’s an even better feeling when you get the three points, and that’s exactly what we did.”
