Stephen Warnock tips Aston Villa team-mate Brad Friedel for coaching career

STEPHEN Warnock believes Villa goalkeeper Brad Friedel is capable of still having a hands on role when he eventually hangs up his gloves – as a coach.
The former Blackburn defensive duo have been reunited in Martin O’Neill’s claret and blue backline and Warnock is full of praise for the veteran shot-stopper.
Warnock is constantly impressed by the way Friedel looks after himself off the pitch and insists the deep-thinking 39-year-old could be cut out for coaching.
“I think he probably is a future coach in the making,” said Warnock.
“He’s got a good education about the game and he knows how it should go and things like that and he’s got good tactical knowledge so possibly.
“I think he’s that type of character. I think he’s a clever guy and a very good thinker, but that doesn’t always make a very good manager so you just never know where it’s going to take you.”
