Aston Villa fans want an end to James Milner saga

James Milner

Aston Villa fans have been discussing the James Milner situation a lot on our website over the last few days, here's what they have had to say...

Cleef68: No news is not good news. No news means an unnecessary delay. If he's going then go quickly 'cos this team needs a cash injection and fast.

If he's staying then come out and say so, so the side can put it to bed once and for all.

All this dithering about is destabilizing and with only about 2 weeks to go until kick off and no new signings I fear for this Villa side, I really do.

BusmanKen: What we all have to realise here is that if Milner does not get sold, MON is not going to have any money for decent signings....Keeping what we have will not win us anything next season, that's for sure.

Midlandsman: I don't want it left until the last day of the window!! It's obvious we have weaknesses, and the problems need to be addressed. With no other signs of the 6 going, this could well be the only cash injection we will get, and possibly give us some optimism for the coming season.

Oldburyite: Its all smoke and mirrors, usually when deals are imminent on players, they get a pulled this or a strained that, we've seen it all before have we not? I think the deal is all but done and that is the real reason he didnt play.

JVJV: We had players last year that were desperate for a game & with 3 or 4 of the Young lads pushing into the squad & the fact we haven't lost anyone then i think we're in a better position than last year.

Most of our players should improve with only a couple getting slower & moving away from their peak.

Raymondo: Football is now more a business than a sport. The differnce between 20 millionj and 30 million is the reason for the delay. Man City have made there nest now they must lie in it. Everyone knows they have an abundance of cash and Villa want the extra 10 million for extra players.

Lerner is no fool he will hold out for the best deal for himself and the future of the club. If that takes into next year so be it, if Villa cave in the message to all rich clubs is Villa will sell irrespective of the importance to the villa team.

Forevavillain2: To me, its about the Quality players you sign not the quantity. And so far under Mon we have yet to see a real real quality player arrive at VP one who can drive the team and push them to another level.
