Aston Villa: Albrighton's delight at hearing his name sung by the Holte End

MARC Albrighton has revealed his delight at hearing the Holte End singing his name after once fearing his Villa career was over before it had even started.
Chants of ‘Super, Super Marc Albrighton’ to the tune of ‘Skip To My Lou’ have been commonplace to salute the winger at Villa Park so far this season.
But the boyhood Villa fan was worried that he might never pull on the claret and blue again after injuring his ankle against Brighton last term.
Albrighton left the field in agony moments after setting up Nathan Delfouneso’s opening goal in the FA Cup win against the Seagulls back in January.
However, the injury was nowhere near as bad as first feared and the 20-year-old has recovered to make himself a regular in the senior starting XI.
“I really looked forward to the Brighton game because I felt I would be able to hold my own against lower-league opposition,” he recalled.
“It started well when I set up Nathan’s goal but I landed on my ankle and it twisted underneath me.
“I was absolutely devastated, I just wanted to go home and go to bed.
“But a few of the lads told me to keep my head up, get fit again and get back to performing how I had been,” he said.
