Aston Villa: Gerard Houllier has point to prove after being sacked from Liverpool
Gerard Houllier will have a point to prove at Aston Villa after he was sacked as Liverpool boss six years ago, according to the Liverpool Echo's head of sport, John Thompson.
Houllier, 63, became the first manager to be sacked from Liverpool in 50 years when he was dismissed in 2004.
John Thompson spoke to Gerard Houllier at Jamie Carragher's testimonial dinner on Saturday where he found the Frenchman in determined mood.
