Aston Villa: Habib Beye left frustrated

Habib Beye

HABIB Beye has underlined his disappointment over the latest setback to halt his stop-start Villa career and force him back out of the first team.

Beye has been a frustrated spectator due to injury and loss of form for most of his time at the club after signing from Newcastle last August.

The Senegalese international returned for three games against Chelsea, Sunderland and Burnley after Luke Young picked up a hamstring problem.

But Beye is still waiting for an extended run in the starting XI after ankle trouble cost him his place for Sunday’s Blues derby draw.

He is expecting to be fit for this weekend’s trip to Fulham but faces a tough task dislodging Young from the No.2 role after Villa’s clean sheet.

“I just tweaked my ankle in the first half against Burnley and it was swelling a little but it’s not going to be a big problem,” said Beye.
