CARLOS Cuellar is in line to make his first start for more than a month against Wolves – and admits he still retains hope of earning his first Spanish cap.
The 29-year-old has never represented his country and he knows the odds are stacked firmly against him as he competes with the cream of the crop to feature for the world champions.
But the former Rangers stopper says he will never give up hope of playing for his national side.
“I know it is really hard but in football anything is possible because you never know when your opportunity is coming,” he said.
When Spain won the World Cup last year, Cuellar met with his homeland pals at a local Birmingham bar to watch his country beat Holland in the final.
