ALEX McLeish has challenged Charles N’Zogbia to help end Villa Park’s winless Wigan woes – if selected against his former club tomorrow.
With the claret and blues set to welcome back a string of players from injury lay-offs, below par N’Zogbia’s starting place is not guaranteed.
“If selected I would expect Charles to shine and show his old team-mates what they are missing,” said McLeish. “They know and we know what he’s capable of.
“What’s eluding Charles at the moment is just that final decision. He has been energetic and you have to give him credit in working for the team as well, as you saw against QPR when he tracked Luke Young back a few times.
“I know that some wingers don’t like running back but if Luke can run up and down the field at his age then our wingers have to do that as well. I thought he did really well against Wolves and he looked very lively in that game.
